Questions
- Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?
- No. The file is read and analyzed right here in your browser. It never touches our servers, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
- How do I get a CSV from my bank?
- Log in to your bank or card on the web, open your transactions, and look for Download, Export, or Statements. Pick CSV (sometimes called comma separated or spreadsheet) and choose the last three to six months.
- Why three months or more?
- A subscription shows up as the same charge on a steady schedule. One month only shows each charge once, so we can flag well known services like Netflix or Spotify, but a longer export catches the ones you forgot about.
- Does this cancel subscriptions for me?
- No tool can cancel on your behalf from a bank file. For each charge we link straight to instructions for cancelling it, so it takes a minute instead of an afternoon.
